System Administrator User Interface
The videos included on this page provide an introduction to the typical user interface for
QServ administrators.
Note that the user interface is fully customizable. View the "Configuration and User Access Video" to learn how
the user interface can be customized to
match the needs of your organization.
Organization Tree
The QServ organization tree defines the organization structure of the company. QServ provides two views of the organization tree.
The first view typically follows the financial reporting structure and should be consistent with the reporting structure
used by other systems. We refer to this as the "Normal" view of the organization tree.
The second view of the organization tree follows the operational structure of the organization and reflects the physical layout of scheduling
areas within a location. We refer to this view as the "Adjacency Group" view. The adjacency group view is important because it allows
shared coverage for scheduling areas that are physically adjacent to reduce the cost of satisfying security minimums.
This video demonstrates how the organization tree is defined and how to set up adjacency groups within a location.

Add a New Location
This video demonstrates how to add a new location to an existing organization
tree using the copy, paste and paste special features.
The organization tree presents the regions, locations, expense centers, scheduling
areas and other elements of your company.
Organization Filters
Organization filters can be defined to view a cross section of the organization tree. For example, a filter for
the Accessories area will allow users to view reports showing the Accessories areas for all stores in the company.
Organization Adjacency Groups
Organization adjacency groups provide an operational view of the organization structure of the company.
